Founded in 1875, La Sagesse University (Beirut-Lebanon), is the first higher institute of Law. This institution belongs to the archdiocese of Beirut presided by R.F Marcel Helou and assisted by an academic council.

ISSED is distinguished in teaching the following:

    Anglo-Saxon, Canon, Criminology, Financial & Economical Law, Juridical Philosophy, Political Sciences as well as Computer & Telecommunications.

In 1994, it constructed a division of Law Information Systems La Sagesse center for legal computerization specializing in:
